Approach

The networks that use Calx Proclivia are academic, and they represent top scholarly quality. Yet, people of the networks are policy oriented and have extensive experience of consultancy and advisory work. Instead of just investigating facts, they offer their scientific methods of finding the facts and analyzing them, as well as their scholarly perspectives for the practical purposes defined by the commissioning agency. However, instead of offering mere perspectives, let alone academic jargon, the experts of the networks are used to meticulous investigation of the relevant facts, too. Calx Proclivia approach is, therefore, to mobilize scholarly methods and perspectives for the assignment, rather than offering the assignment for academic theory. This approach is symbolized in the logo of Calx Proclivia, in which knowledge is brought from different directions, and then it is analyzed into a form that is condensed and valuable as a diamond, for the commissioning agency.

The Networks

The Main networks that the Chairman of the Board of Calx Proclivia has established and leads are:

Conflict Transformation Group
Indonesian Conflict Studies Network
Thematic Network on Peace and Conflict Studies (part of the ASEM Education Hub)

Opportunities for Conflict Professionals

The Calx Proclivia continues to expand its networks. With a growing need to take the conflict aspect into account in the planning, implementation and evaluation of development cooperation, there is a growing need for professionals in aspects of conflict. This is why the Calx Procliva is systematically collecting a roster of specialists in several conflict-related issue areas, and invites conflict specialists who would be interested in collaborating with us to submit their CVs and lists of publications and sample publications/reports.
